I usually run my courses here from my farm cottage in rural East Sussex, but the recent restrictions with Covid mean I have had to shelve those for the time being! If you want to see where I live, check out my vlog page, The Shawpits Diaries.
I am now offering my Introduction to Sustainable Beekeeping course via Zoom, and there is a Beekeeping in a Box option for those wanting something tangible to work through rather than being online.
My friendly and informative live Zoom session will show you what you need to consider before keeping bees on a small scale. We discuss colony life, how a hive works, equipment, pollen and nectar, workload, sustainable honey harvest, and generally what’s involved – there will also be a chance to discuss any questions you may have. The price is £30 per session, 2-4pm on the dates below. Please reserve your space using the link below, or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more details or to buy the course as a gift – great if you know someone who has always had an interest in these fascinating insects.
Hopefully I will be able to welcome you back to my cottage at some point, but in the meantime, embrace the advantages of technology and spend an afternoon finding out about the amazing and complex world of the honey bee.
Please see the Course tabs on the main menu to purchase, or email me at email@example.com for more details.
